Brand is the most precious value of any company. Therefore, effective brand protection is of fundamental importance to correct business operation. It happens that the renown itself is the best advertising measure. This is exemplified by many fashion houses acting as true legends of the industry. Dior, Chanel, Prada – these companies have worked out such a strong position during their experience on the market that it would be hard to imagine anything that could pose any threat to them. Certainly, this is vastly owing to an entire group of talented designers who create particular collections. On the other hand, however, a fashion house means a marketing machine and many lawyers watching over brand protection. The logo, the unique name, sometimes even the colours used, all this is the richness that becomes permanently imprinted in the customers’ awareness. Therefore, while starting one’s business, it is worth working out a strategy to be used, on the one hand, in the event of any infringements on the part of external entities, while on the other, to help us strengthen the brand position on the market.

The brand protection strategy can indeed help us pursue our rights if the competitor decides to play unfair. It will also allow us to define how to function on the market so as not to face claims from third parties.

Brand protection is the fundamental issue to everyone in the textile industry.
